Q1 Newsletter

A note from David

Already nearing the end of Q1, we've had a fantastic start to the year!

In January, our new colleague Chris Holland started with us as Senior Sales Manager. He came to SBC after years of experience in the drinks industry - you can read more about his journey below.

On a personal note, January also saw me travelling to South America, raising money on a charity cycle ride with The Truants Foundation. You can read about our adventures below, as a selection of UK press covered the story.

I'm pleased and more than a little proud to share that thus far we've raised over £340,000, with all donations going to support the three nominated charities Nordoff Robbins, Childline, and Teenage Cancer Trust. You can still make donations here

Finally, the sales teams been back on the road, joining our customers and suppliers on market visits in Scotland, Italy, America, and Ireland already this year, with more trips to come. Watch this space for more information, and get in touch if you want to arrange a market visit with one of the team.

Speak soon,

David

Spotlight on... Ice Breaker Pale Ale

This refreshing, easy-to-drink American-style pale ale from Greene King is unfiltered for maximum flavour.

Bursting with fruity hop characters, Ice Breaker is triple hopped with Citra and Simcoe, and combined with pale and amber malts to give a balanced sweetness.

Ice Breaker is available in 330ml bottles, 440ml cans and 30L steel kegs.

Meet the team member...

Chris Holland, Senior Sales Manager

Chris is our newest starter having joined the team earlier this year.

Before joining us, Chris worked for national drinks wholesalers for both the on and off trade. He's currently enjoying a full immersion into the Sovereign portfolio, and is struggling to choose a favourite from our many award-winning brands!

2023 looks to be a busy year for Chris, as alongside his new position, he has an upcoming house move, and is getting married in May! Congratulations Chris!

Outside of work - when he isn't packing boxes or perfecting the

wedding playlist, Chris enjoys a round of golf followed by an ice-cold pale ale.
