A note from David
What a fantastic year it’s been at Sovereign Beverage Company!
As we stare down the barrel of 2023, we have plenty to celebrate. We’ve had our most successful year to date, selling almost 50,000 hectolitres. We were shortlisted in three prestigious awards, securing a ‘highly commended’ in the Global Business of the Year category at the BIBAs, and the team has grown to include a Sales Director, Operations Manager, and Senior Sales Manager.
Chris Holland will be joining us as Senior Sales Manager, having most recently worked at the drinks wholesaler Matthew Clark. Five-year SBC veteran Craig Johnstone has continued to climb the ranks with a promotion from Head of Sales to Sales Director, and Tom Fitzmaurice has been promoted to the newly created position of Operations Manager after eight years with us. Expanding the team is a huge achievement and one that I’m very proud of.
In other news, I’ve been suiting up in my lycra and helmet to train for The Truants Argentina Bike Ride in 2023 - the annual fundraising bike ride by The Truants Foundation for three UK-based children’s charities. Between our new team members, January’s Argentina trip and our company vision to hit 100,000HL by 2025, it’s going to be an exciting 12 months!
